YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy policy

This policy explains what information NoteOnPoint handles, why it is needed and the choices available to you.

Last updated: September 19, 2026

1. About NoteOnPoint

NoteOnPoint is a personal workspace for saving notes, links and folders. You may use the web app directly and, if you choose, connect WhatsApp to save and retrieve content through a NoteOnPoint chat.

2. Information we collect

Account information

We process your email address, account identifier and authentication information required to create and secure your account. NoteOnPoint uses passwordless email verification and does not store a password for your account.

Content you save

We store the notes, links, folder names, titles, descriptions and other content you choose to save. When you save a link, NoteOnPoint may retrieve publicly available information such as its title, description or preview image.

WhatsApp information

If you connect WhatsApp, we process your WhatsApp identifier and phone number, the messages and links you send to NoteOnPoint, message identifiers, connection details and related webhook or delivery information. We process only conversations that you send to the NoteOnPoint business account.

Technical information and preferences

Our hosting, authentication and messaging providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser or device details, request timestamps and security logs. NoteOnPoint also stores interface preferences, such as your selected theme, on your device.

3. How we use information

  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Store, organise, search and synchronise your notes, links and folders.
  • Connect your WhatsApp number and process the commands or content you send.
  • Fetch useful public metadata for links you save.
  • Prevent abuse, diagnose failures and maintain the reliability of the service.
  • Meet legal obligations and enforce our rights where necessary.

NoteOnPoint does not sell your personal information and does not use your saved content for targeted advertising.

4. Services that process information

We use trusted service providers to operate NoteOnPoint, including providers of cloud hosting, data storage, authentication, security and messaging services. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to their applicable privacy and contractual obligations.

  • When you connect WhatsApp, relevant information is processed through Meta and WhatsApp to provide the integration.
  • The operator of a link you save may receive a server request when NoteOnPoint retrieves its public preview information.

Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and security.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep account information and saved content while your account remains active or for as long as needed to provide the service. Items moved to Trash remain available until you permanently delete them. Limited logs or backup copies may remain temporarily where reasonably necessary for security, recovery, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

You can permanently delete individual saves, disconnect WhatsApp, or delete your complete NoteOnPoint account. See our data-deletion instructions for the exact steps.

6. Security

We use access controls, encrypted network connections and provider security features designed to protect your information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should avoid saving highly sensitive information that you do not need in NoteOnPoint.

7. Your choices

  • Review, edit or delete the notes and links in your account.
  • Disconnect WhatsApp at any time in Settings.
  • Delete your account and associated information from Settings → Account.
  • Stop using the service and remove locally stored preferences through your browser settings.

8. Children and policy changes

NoteOnPoint is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
